FEEDING YOUNG. NESTING SWALLOWS. A unique piece (not a print) using crylic and graphite on a repurposed etching. 49x39cm. September 2010. A late family in an open-sided shed in Applecross, North West Highlands of Scotland. The swallows and me both making use of this shelter between frequent showers. We became accustomed to each other. I used the textures of an etching and aquatint of mine… a frozen puddle… the weather wasn’t freezing but it was harsh. Some of the complexity of the etching shows between the paint marks.
