Blackthorn winter froth...a wonderful moment in the year. And the palette was a gentle optimistic one. This was made in Lodmoor Nature Reserve where a particular Swan (very used to being fed by humans) became an excellent model.

After dark the wetland first quietened and then I became aware of a lot of activity. The beings of the night were about their business.
