Made on a dynamic day in Freshwater Bay on The Isle of Wight using a watercolour medium (Aquapasto) to hold on to the structure. I cannot remember the date but I remember the experience. I found it recently in my personal archive. I always rather liked it. It is unframed. Painted on a heavy rough paper. Watermarked. 36 x 27cm…
Swimming at Worbarrow Bay ...admiring the wonderful curve towards Flowers Barrow from the water...and suddenly the scent of gorse floats over across the water...just for a moment. The painting is packed with the wonderful palette of pigments that are accessible along that bay.
