DURDLE DOOR WIDE OPEN. LULWORTH
In March 2020 this was one of the last site visits I made before travel was denied. I sat up on the hillside just above the stream of visitors as the morning sun behind the arch created intense contre jour… a remarkable green/turquoise reflection shimmered in the water. Chalk fragments were scattered around me…they are often tossed out by rabbits. Hand made cotton rag paper with watercolour and ground chalk and earths from the site. Unframed.
