AMONGST LOW TIDE POOLS AND MOUNDS, OLD HUNSTANTON.
This piece is richly encrusted with the red and white chalk of those remarkable cliffs. I’m sitting at a distance to them at low tide. The sea-smoothed boulders in the foreground are largely Carr stone…coarser than the chalk. The binding medium here is acrylic…I’ve added blue and yellow artist pigments…everything else was found on location. I worked with this piece over a few days …on the final day the tide began to come in and cover…that was the final decision I made. Handmade cotton rag paper. Beautifully framed in limed ash – image floated on foam core. The dimensions given include the frame. The cost of postage is not included in this price.
